Avensis 2011
AVENSIS 2011 was organized by CSE and EEE Department of MSIT that took place on 24-25 March 2011. Ms. Meena Tushir (Reader-EEE Department) was the Convener and Ms. Geetika Dhand (Reader-CSE Department) was the Co-Convener for the Technical Festival.

The theme for this year’s fest was “GO GREEN”. The main aim was to participate actively in the protection and preservation of Mother Earth and promote it on a large scale. The two day extravaganza saw elaborate participation from colleges all over Delhi and NCR. AVENSIS 2011 had a plethora of over 33 events to offer to the students. The events were classified into Technical and Non-technical which were sub-classified into Robotics, Programming and Presentation Challenges and Managerial, Literary, Gaming and Creations respectively.Students from colleges like IIT delhi,IITBombay,IITKharagpur,IITroorkee,IT-BHU,IIMA,NIT,DCE,NSIT,MDI gurgaon,GTBIT,MAIT,UPTU,USIT,BPIT,AIT,GPMCOE,ASET,JSS Noida,NMREC Hyderabad,BEC Kolkata ITM gurgaon etc actively participated in various online ,technical and non technical events.Keeping in mind the theme of the festival, an event called Greenovation was also a part of the fest. The aim of this event was to invite students to help build a mammoth collage and show their artistic and creative skills.

There were 28 Sponsors like Flying Fox, Haveli Ram Snacks(p) Ltd, Koshish(NGO), IOB, CMC,Tiwari caterers,Madeeasy, Jetking,Career Launcher,Punjab National Bank,Nokia,IMS, Agarwal Engineering Works, Kangaroo Studies Pvt. Ltd,Gateforum Educational Services(P) Ltd,Trump and Gates,Domino’s Pizza,Joy Paints & Chemicals Ltd.,Aptech,IES Academy Ltd etc helped to give AVENSIS 2011 an edge over other festivals. The students enthusiastically took part in the NDTV-Coca-Cola “Support My School” campaign. The e-waste drive powered by Nokia helped collect about 90 phones! The total sponsorship amount turned up to Rs.12 lakhs approximately (inclusive of all the goodies and cash). AVENSIS promises to come back with a lot more zeal and enthusiasm in the years to come.
